Yes. There is a myth from traditional fittings that this is not possible. However, our heat alarm plugin has been tested so the alarms detects and functions perfectly with or without the optional light fittings in place. No. We’ve designed the product so you just replace the part you need. You can replace the heat alarm here and the light source here. However, our light has a 5 year use non-stop life cycle or 50,000 hours and our heat alarm has a 10 year life so you don’t need to worry about this for a while.

Heat alarms are designed to protect rooms like your kitchen, garage and loft areas based on the assumption that the build up of dust, moisture and fumes could cause issues such as false alarms.
